About MJFFC

Founded by families, built for the community.

In 1998

Two families met over a cup of coffee to discuss the types of residential supports their children would have in the future. Collectively, these families researched the sector and decided to embark on a journey to ensure the best opportunities possible were made available for their children. After forming a plan, these families invited the community of Moose Jaw to become involved and help make their plans a reality.

January 2000

Moose Jaw Families for Change Inc. was officially formed. MJFFC became incorporated, receiving charitable tax status, and began to operate under alternative community programs while gradually building the agency’s first three residential homes within the community of Moose Jaw.

Growing to meet the community

Further expansions have included the addition of SILP, the Kinsmen Inclusion Centre, the Imagine Employment Program, and the Kinsmen Cafe. In 2022, the community’s first multi-partnership accessible garden — the Kinsmen Inclusion Garden — opened its doors.

“Everyone deserves a happy life achievable through inclusion.”
